  • The wing beat control cylinder has two main roles: it limits the maximum amplitude of the wing beat, and it contains a spring that is compressed as the wings rise during the upstroke. The energy stored in the spring is then added to the downstroke effort provided by the pilot
  • The wing incidence bar is biased towards the positive incidence position by a tensioned spring attached to its front end
