historical notes
  • Each wing consists of a main wing spar forming the leading edge and a shorter bracing spar behind it
  • each wing is linked with the wing beat lever by a connecting strut. Thus, when the wing beat lever is pushed down by the pilot, the wings make a downstroke
  • As the wings rise back up during the upstroke, the spring in the beat control cylinder is compressed
  • The wings are articulated for up and down movement on the incidence bar
